What is review management software?

Review management software collects the reviews customers leave about your business on sites such as Google, Trustpilot and Tripadvisor, and helps you read them, reply to them and learn from them in one place. Reputation management software does the same job, and usually covers social media comments too.

Akili is review and reputation management software built for multi-location consumer brands in the UK and Europe. Alongside the reviews, Akili shows what customers want at each site and ranks what to fix first.

For a single shop, a free Google Business Profile is often enough. For a brand with ten, fifty or three hundred sites, it isn't.

Why multi-location brands need more than a review inbox

Most review tools are built to help one business answer its reviews. Multi-site brands have three problems those tools don't solve.

1

Replies vary from site to site

Twenty managers reply in twenty different ways, or not at all, and every reply carries your brand name. You need the same standard everywhere, and a way to see who is keeping up.

2

The group average hides the branch

A 4.4 brand rating can hide two busy sites at 3.9. You need every location scored on the same measures, side by side.

3

Reading isn't the same as fixing

Knowing that customers mention queues is a start. You also need to know which issue costs you the most, at which sites, and whether the fix worked.

£23bn

of UK consumer spending a year is potentially influenced by online reviews, according to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA, 2025).

89%

of people expect businesses to respond to their reviews, in BrightLocal's 2026 survey of 1,002 US adults (BrightLocal, 2026).

Built for multi-location brands in every sector

Wherever customers can review a branch, Akili keeps every one of them in view.

How it works

  1. Connect your profiles

Link your Google Business Profile and other review sites. Akili pulls in your reviews and your competitors' public reviews.

  2. See where you stand

Within the hour, every branch has a score, a list of top issues and its reviews waiting for a reply.

  3. Reply, fix and prove it

Your team replies from one place, works through the ranked actions, and sees the effect site by site.

What to look for in review management software

If you run more than a handful of sites, check that any tool you consider can:

  • Show every location's reviews in one place, with filters by site and region
  • Score and rank locations on the same measures, not only star ratings
  • Track reply rate and reply time for each site
  • Draft replies your team approves, rather than posting them automatically
  • Cover the review sites and social channels your customers actually use
  • Compare you with competitors near each of your sites
  • Tell you which issues to fix first, and show whether the fix worked
  • Price by location, not by user, so every manager can have access

Our guide to choosing review management software for a multi-location brand goes through each point, with questions to ask in a demo and a scoring template.

What is the difference between review management and reputation management software?

Review management software focuses on reviews: collecting them, replying and tracking ratings. Reputation management software usually adds social media and other mentions. Akili covers both, and adds analysis of what customers say at each location.

Can review management software reply to reviews automatically?

Some tools can, but we don't recommend it. Akili drafts a reply to each review, and a person checks and sends it, so every reply is accurate and in your brand's voice.

How much does review management software cost?

Prices vary widely. Many tools charge per location or per user. Akili starts at £1,000 a month for up to 10 locations, with no per-user fees.

Is it allowed to ask customers for reviews?

Yes, as long as you ask every customer rather than only happy ones, and don't offer anything in return. Google prohibits incentives for reviews, and UK rules ban reviews that hide one.

How long does it take to set up?

Most brands see their first branch scores within an hour of connecting their review profiles.
